Community Meeting : Sat 25 Oct 16:00 |
||
Dear Resident,
We are writing to make you aware that there has been a recent increase in motor vehicle thefts in and around Woolwich Road. Officers from the West Heath Safter Neighbourhood team are actively patrolling the area and conducting enquiries to identify those responsible.
We are encouraging all residents to remain vigilant and take simple security steps such as :
Ensuring vehicles are always locked and windows fully closed.
Removing valuables and bags from view.
Using steering locks or additional security devices where possible.
Reporting any suspicious activity immediately to police via 999 (if a crime is in progress) or 101/online for non-emergencies.
We will be holding a Street Briefing on Saturday 25th October 2025 at 4pm, where residents can meet the local team, discuss local concerns and receive tailored crime prevention advice.
Further details of the time and location of this event can be found by signing up to Met Engage- The Metropolitan police’s new community messaging platform. A Separate letter is enclosed explaining how to register.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep West Heath safe.
Kind regards
West Heath SNT
